A question that I once got from a client of mine:
“When should coaches start selling?”
This client just began his coaching business, and hadn’t offered anything yet because he said he wanted to wait until he had more followers and eyeballs on his stuff before doing it.
The advice that I gave him was to start selling right away.
Even if you’re fresh in the coaching world, you have to let people know that you’re open for business on day #1.
Imagine if a bricks and mortar store opened but decided to wait a few months until its foot traffic increased before selling anything?
So even if you have just three people following you, and one of them is your mother, one is your uncle Morty, and the other is a Russian bot, start making offers. You may not make any sales right away, but you’re getting practice for when your following gets larger.
If you avoid making offers, it’s not going to feel like a real business – so the sooner you do it, the better.
A quote from Estee Lauder (the only woman on Time Magazine’s list of the 20 most influential business geniuses of the 20th century):
“I have never worked a day in my life without selling. If I believe in something, I sell it, and I sell it hard”.
It’s a lot easier to sell when you’re automating things, so check out the live masterclass that Michael Peluso and I are doing today at 2 pm EST.
