Last year I bought Henry Winkler’s autobiography, “Being Henry: The Fonz and Beyond”, and it’s a great read.
Winkler starred as Fonzie/The Fonz in the hit TV series “Happy Days” from 1974-1984, and I posted a joke on social media that I hoped the book would “jump the shark” in chapter five …
“Jump The Shark” is the point where a TV series stops being good, and it’s all downhill after that.
It comes from a famous (or infamous) scene in season five of Happy Days where the writers tried to inject some energy into the series by having the characters go to California and they had Fonzie literally jump a shark while water skiing.
To tie it into business, I’ve spoken with lots of entrepreneurs who complain about the various advertising options (like Facebook ads) and are mad that they don’t convert as well as they once did.
