Back in April 2016, I made a decision to start emailing my list daily – and I highly recommend that you do the same.
I know, I know. You’re probably thinking “You’re nuts Marc – people will unsubscribe and angry mobs will come to my house in the middle of the night!”
Yes, you’ll chase some people off – but they probably wouldn’t have done business with you anyways (and trust me, you won’t get angry mobs coming at you).
You’ll build a stronger relationship with those who remain. They’ll actually look forward to reading your emails.
A few months back, there was a glitch with Aweber and my email didn’t send until a few hours after the usual time it goes out every day.
In that couple hour span, I had a number of messages from subscribers wondering where that day’s email was. They became used to seeing my email in their inbox at 7:30 am EST every single morning, and they wanted it!
Before I started doing the daily thing, I emailed once a week or so, and my list was DEAD. I rarely got emails back from subscribers, and I wasn’t doing much business from it.
Now, my email list is my main source for clients and customers (along with my Facebook group).
I’m not saying that you can send out junk every day to your people. You have to give good content that helps them. Follow Josh Bernoff’s “Iron Imperative” for writing:
Treat the reader’s time as more valuable than your own.
