I’ve never been a fan of cold messaging strangers to build my coaching business.
It just hasn’t been my thing.
During one month last year I did send over 1000 warm messages to people I know from social media/podcasting during a launch, and that wore me down …
So I can’t imagine how it feels for those who hound hundreds of strangers every day on social media, and pester them multiple times when they don’t get a response (I know from first hand experience, having ignored plenty of unsolicited messages)
Not to knock the choices they make to build their businesses (the great thing about entrepreneurship is you have the flexibility to build your business the way you want to) but I suspect that a lot of these cold message folks aren’t having fun with that approach and are dying inside every time they do it.
I’ve always preferred to put my energy into getting my message, and offers, in the right places and having interested prospects reach out to me.
