Coaching kids is different than coaching adults, and here’s an example of Adventure in Wisdom’s coach Tara in action:
===
“Sam enrolled in my Managing Change workshop during the first wave of COVID-19.
He had experienced a lot of change and was dealing with a lot of uncertainty.
The biggest change was having to switch to virtual school. He missed his friends and teachers and had to learn a new learning structure.
During the workshop, we read the story Changes in Paradise [Skill Book 26], learned the 3-step process for managing change, and engaged in open discussion. He was able to identify which character he related to
the most, Carla the Cat. Then he made a craft that represented Carla the Cat.
By the end of the session, Sam was able to identify some positive things about all the changes he was experiencing and how to embrace the changes.”

If you’re interested in coaching kids, Renaye Thornborrow is doing a live training to show how her WISDOM coaches do it and how you can get started.
It’s happening next Tuesday, December 10th – and all ICF coaches who attend live can earn one Coach Continuing Education Credit (Core Competency). Here’s the link!
