I recently watched “Subservience” on Netflix, and was talking with a friend about it.
It’s about an AI android (played by Megan Fox) who becomes self aware, and then terrorizes a family.
My friend complained that the movie was too similar to “M3GAN”, which came out a few years ago and also featured an AI robot going crazy …
He thought it wasn’t fair for a new movie to borrow themes from the older one, but I said he shouldn’t worry about it.
I’m not sure if there is anything truly original out there, and if you hold back on releasing your stuff because there’s something similar to it out there then you’ll never release anything!
