A question that I got from a new client of mine:
When should coaches start selling?
This client just began his coaching business, and hasn’t offered anything yet because he says he wants to wait until he has more followers and eyeballs on his stuff before doing it.
The advice that I gave him was to start selling right away.
Even if you’re fresh in the coaching world, you have to let people know that you’re open for business on day #1.
Imagine if a bricks and mortar store opened but decided to wait a few months until its foot traffic increased before selling anything?
So even if you have just three people following you, and one of them is your mother, one is your uncle Morty, and the other is a Russian bot, get making offers. You may not make any sales right away, but you’re getting practice for when your following gets larger.
If you avoid making offers, it’s not going to feel like a real business – so the sooner you do it, the better.
A quote from Estee Lauder (the only woman on Time Magazine’s list of the 20 most influential business geniuses of the 20th century):
“I have never worked a day in my life without selling. If I believe in something, I sell it, and I sell it hard”.
A lot of coaches hesitate because they aren’t sure of what to offer. If you’re holding back because of this, check out Secret Coach Club.
Every month, I share what you can offer to get more clients and customers (and by extension, make a lot more money).
