When Wendy McClelland found herself divorced with 3 young children, she started on the path that eventually led her to coaching. Through the years, her persistence has helped her through numerous challenges, including a health setback which would have destroyed most people. She takes the lessons learned from those victories to help her clients improve their situations as well!
BECOMING A COACH
After her divorce, Wendy realized that she had to do something quickly to support herself and her children. She started a typing service, and went door knocking on local businesses to get her clients. That service led her to being asked for marketing advice from those businesses, and she expanded her services to meet the market’s demand.
BIGGEST OBSTACLE
Her biggest obstacle is when she sees potential in other people, but they don’t realize that they need coaching help.
GETTING NEW COACHING CLIENTS
Wendy speaks for free at least several times a month to local groups, and gets a lot of her business that way. She also actively participates in Facebook and LinkedIn groups to find new clients.
